In order to start the building process you will require plans to be drawn up. You can engage a draftsman or architect to draw or design your plans. At this point you may seek recommendations or research builders who are experienced for the type of build you require. Alternatively we can consult with you and arrange the professional services required to get your custom build drawn up.
An initial consultation is required to discuss your plans in detail, often the draftsman/ architect is present at this meeting. An estimation may be available after this meeting where budget and design ideas are over-viewed.
Once the plans are finalised, Recom Building will be able to give an accurate quote and prepare a building proposal. The proposal will include a detailed break-down of costs and will be discussed in depth with you at a second meeting to ensure both parties are in agreement with what works will be completed.
Once in agreement, a QBCC contract can be signed and start/finish dates finalised. At this stage an initial deposit will be required.
We can now go ahead to prepare and lodge any pre-construction approvals with the local council and start ordering materials and scheduling trades.
Recom Building will provide a projection of the building schedule detailing the scope of works through our system which is updated weekly. This is available to our clients to view the progress of their project through Smartsheet.
